Very enjoyable concert took place on Thursday December 17th in the Thatched Cottage, Kilmovee Community Centre. Funds raised on the night went towards the local Conference of St Vincent de Paul Society to assist its most important work in our community.
It was a fitting celebration of this special time of year. Our local singing group performed some very seasonal and enjoyable pieces and Sadie Dunleavy recited her very moving poem about a Kilmovee emigrant in Camden Town. I sang a few songs as well!
Among the performers on the night was a fine choir from Ballyhaunis, Co. Mayo called Gracenotes One of their pieces on the night was the most special of all Christmas Carols
This piece too was, in my opinion, a highlight!
